Does my journal sync to the cloud?
No. Your record stays on your device. There is no account and no server. Use the export feature (available after the one-time unlock) to make your own backup copy whenever you want one.
Can I edit or delete an entry?
No, and that is by design. A journal entry gets a sequential number that is never reused. You can void an entry with a reason, the same way you would strike a line in a bound paper book, but the original stays in the record so the log remains defensible.
Which states are supported?
The app ships per-state field templates, each cited to a statute and stamped with a ruleset version. Pick your state and the entry form shows only the fields that state requires or allows. Always confirm your state authorizes an electronic journal for the act you are performing.
How do I move my record to a new phone?
Export a PDF from your old device and keep it safe. The export carries the hash chain so that PDF can be re-verified on its own. There is no import/restore step for a new install, though - a fresh install always starts numbering at Entry #1, it does not continue the sequence from your old device. Keep the exported PDF from your old device as your permanent record of that device's entries, and treat the new device's journal as its own sequence going forward.
I lost my phone. Can you recover my entries?
No. Because the record never leaves your device, we have no copy to restore. Keep regular exports as your backup.
What does the unlock include?
Unlimited entries and audit-ready PDF export carrying the hash chain. The full per-state ruleset and encrypted thumbprint/signature capture are free during your trial and stay available either way.
